Norwood Cleanup Day

On September 6th Norwood Together held the Montgomery Road Cleanup Day. Every Norwood City school had a cleanup day in conjunction with Norwood Together’s efforts.

In total the Montgomery Road and Norwood Cleanup Day was attended by well over 100 Norwood residents who were spread over 5 locations. We would like to thank UDF for the donuts, Birdie’s Cafe for the Coffee, and Larosa’s for the pizza which were much appreciated by our early morning volunteers.

The five locations Norwood Together met for cleanups.

Our volunteers collected dozens of bags of trash. They were collected later that day Norwood Public Works at Victory Park.

Present among our volunteers were Norwood City Councilors Susan Hoover, Jeff Girton, and Alexis Royce as well as Norwood Mayor Victor Schnieder. We are very grateful to our elected officials who showed up and lent us their arms and hands and risked pulling their backs to ensure that Norwood stays clean and litter free.

We would also like to the thank the parents who came to each school and helped clean their children’s and Norwood’s children learning environment.

We hope that you will join us for our next Norwood Clean-Up Day!
