Community Engagement
On porches and in parks, across tables and sidewalks, at community events and park clean up weeks, Norwood Together follows our mission to develop community and a welcoming, vibrant, and connected city.
Norwood Together creates more chances for neighbors to get together and more opportunities to get involved. We are committed to improving communication in the community and better connecting residents and community stakeholders with officials and community organizations. To continue to meet these goals, Norwood Together is:
Hosting regular programs such as welcoming new Norwood residents with our welcome bags, hosting Norwood Get-Togethers that give people a chance to meet neighbors and hear from city officials and organizations, as well as keeping our community up-to-date on all the events happening in our city.
Organizing city-wide events that focus on positive assets that reignite community pride, such as the Norwood Historic Home Tour, the Norwood International Art Show, and the Norwood Gems of the Community Award Celebration.

Block Parties thrown to connect our city, possible through the Norwood Together Block Party Mini-Grant program.
To create a plan for Norwood’s future, a resident-led steering committee began by asking the community: What are the strengths and weaknesses of our city: what are the opportunities and threats? That was the start of a community conversation about Norwood’s future.
